Shriners Care for Kids Day
Shriners Care for Kids is teaming up with Carl’s Jr. Restaurants to present the first annual “Stars for Kids Day” with a portion of proceeds from the day’s purchases on April benefitting 3500 people Shriners services each year, including those who use the Care Cruiser program.
More than tasseled hats, clowns and mini-cars, Shriners Care for Kids provides access to exceptional pediatric care. The transportation network, including the Care Cruiser buses, enables children from throughout the province to travel to Vancouver health care facilities. The Care Cruiser program has logged approximately two million miles with BC since it began in 2001, and over 90 round trips to the coast in just 2013 alone. No other Shrine Club in North America provides the unique service, which costs approximately $1.2 Million dollars a year to run. As well, transportation, accommodations, and all medical treatment are provided at Shriners Hospitals for Children for patients requiring specialized procedures.
Head on down to Carl’s Jr. To support this very worthy charity and a service that is vital to so many BC families.
